5 Common Colony Flow! Mistakes (and How to Avoid Them)
Every stuck player repeats the same five errors: routing the center first, filling corridors completely, ignoring the crossing colors, committing too early, and refusing to restart.
Mistake one: routing the center pairs first. Center routes need the most space and usually block something. Clear the edges first. Mistake two: filling a corridor completely. If a line consumes every cell of a passage, any pair that needs to cross it is dead — leave one open cell.
Mistake three: ignoring crossings. When two colors need the same corridor, clear the one that crosses first, not the one that looks closer. Mistake four: committing a pair before the board is half-solved, then being stuck with a sealed route. Mistake five: refusing to restart. After four or five moves with no plan, a fresh board is faster than untangling a mess.
